Nurse's Notes
As we approach fall, we are already seeing positive flu and covid cases around our school, as well as Strep, allergies and other regular "back to school" viruses (stomach bug, fever viruses, etc).  Please teach your student the importance of coughing inside their elbow and not their hands.  Good hand hygiene is important to keep the spread of germs to a minimum.  See attachments below to help teach your lil' Spartan!
As always, help us keep our students healthy!  Do not bring your child to school if they have a fever (100 and above), have been vomiting or have had diarrhea within the last 24hrs.  Students must be free of fever, vomiting and/or diarrhea for 24hrs/1 full school day without any use of medications to relieve their symptoms.
If you have not filled out our Health History form, please do so now by clicking the link below.  This will help me get to know your child and any needs they may/may not have.
If your child has any food allergies that do/do not require an epi-pen, history of asthma that do/do not require an inhaler, diabetes, seizures, ANY important medical history or anything that requires any medications, please let me know by emailing me at the above email address (even after you fill out the health history form).
If you do have a student that will need to take any medications while at school, a parent will need to bring in the medication and fill out and sign a Medication Authorization form.
We have Spartan students that are immunocompromised, in particular a medical condition called PANDAS.  Please contact me if your student has had strep or any illness, Your students identity will be kept private.  We will notify the parents of the student with PANDAS that there is a positive strep case in their class or surrounding classes, so they can take necessary precautions.  Please click this link to educate yourself in regards to PANDAS.
Always feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have in regards to your child's health.  I will do my best to reply to any emails I receive before 4pm.  If after 4pm, I may not be able to reply to them until the next school day.
